Avoidance

016

.

“The aim

of the wise

is not to

secure pleasure,

but to avoid

pain.”

.

~ Aristotle

.

Sticking one’s foot into one’s mouth is a pain.

Banging one’s head against the wall is a pain.

I’ll show you, I’ll hurt myself is a pain.

Selfish, self-centered, arrogant, grandiose

and egotistical is a pain.

The pleasure does not have to be sought,

it will arrive to fill the void

after the pain has gone away.

Today, be wise, be humble,

avoid the heartaches and be happy.

Happiness is avoiding the pain.

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.

The Highest Good

.

“Happiness is the highest good,

being a realization and perfect

practice of virtue,

which some can attain,

while others have little

or none of it.”

.

~ Aristotle

.

.

How ironic is it that virtue and happiness

share the same definition:

the quality of doing what is right

and avoiding what is wrong.

Simple, to be virtuous and happy

just do the next right thing, the will of your

loving Higher Power.

Be kind, be loving, be patient, be tolerant, be forgiving

and be the person the Great Creator made you to be.

Happiness is the highest good.

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.
