No Choice

.

“We choose

those we like;

with those we love,

we have no say

in the matter.”

.

~Mignon McLaughlin

.

.

Aside from unconditional love,

true love usually happens

in spite of ourselves.

Sometimes we don’t even pause

to decide if we choose to love someone

we just plummet head over heels

into a state of euphoric happiness

just because God placed that beautiful soul into our lives.

If the happenstance blooms into a relationship …

that is a choice.

Love is something in which we have no choice in the matter.

Love is helping someone love themselves.

Hope and Joy

.

“There is

no hope or joy

except in

human relations.”

.

— Antoine de Saint-Exupery

.

.

A human relationship begins with two people meeting,

not always by coincidence, but always by a God incident.

The meeting may not blossom into friendship

if their is no mutual ground, no agreed understanding.

However, whenever, two heads correspond compatibly

on many different wavelengths, friendship,

a bond that is inexplicable may occur.

Being kind and loving usually precludes

that hope and joy will follow the soul

fortunate to have a friend.

Kindness is sharing hope and joy.

Kindness is the beginning of a life filled with love.
