Don’t Exaggerate

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

.

“We exaggerate

misfortune and happiness

alike.

We are never

as bad off or as happy as

we say we are.”

.

~ Honore De Balzac

.

Why exaggerate ? ? ?

Why not just be content with the middle of the road.

No one ever believes your laments of melancholy misery

or your over emoted spasms of ecstatic exuberance

anyhow.

Yes, we do those things to elicit sympathy or

to have other people leave us alone.

Today, be happy, don’t exaggerate,

tell the truth about how you feel.

Happiness is never having to exaggerate.

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.

Not Hating

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

.

We live

happily indeed,

not hating

those who

hate us.”

.

~ Buddha

.

.

Let their jealousy and envy be their torment

and do not worry about their misery.

Be happy, be kind, be loving, be patient, be tolerant,

be forgiving and you will discover a plethora of

souls who will enjoy sharing your happiness,

your serenity and peace of mind.

Today, know karma; good intent and good deeds

contribute to good karma and future happiness

while bad intent and bad deeds are conducive to

bad karma and future suffering.

Happiness is not hating.

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.
