Perfectly Themselves

“The beginning of love

is to let those we love

be perfectly themselves’

and not to twist them

to fit our own image.

Otherwise we love only

the reflection of ourselves

we find in them.”

~ Thomas Merton

We are all characters with traits,

some of which are likable to others,

some of which may be annoying.

Love is that soul who has more likable traits

and even their few annoying ones

may be tolerable to some degree.

Today, live the paradox,

in love it is usually our differences

which make us compatible.

Love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves.

Love is helping someone love themselves.

ME and the boss

Love and kindness

are never wasted.

They always make

a difference.

They bless the one

who receives them,

and they bless you,

the giver.

~ Barbara De Angelis

In our lives, the ultimate paradox of

the Great Creator should be an every day,

every moment experience:

the more love and kindness you give,

the more love and kindness you will receive.

Hatred and jealously are time and energy wasting

efforts which should not consume any of your day.

Today, make a difference,

use your time being kind and loving.

Kindness is a blessing to be shared.

Kindness is the beginning of a life filled with love.
