Fear, ignorance, laziness; why does the sight

become fuzzier, darker and narrower

the older we become ???

Too busy looking past

our selfish and self-centered wants

to realize that the opposite of greed and deception is

the reality of compassion, kindness and love.

Today, close your eyes and imagine a world

that is happy, joyous and free, a magical world

that is filled with peace and understanding,

a place that fulfills all of our needs.

Life is to see the magic in everything.

Life is living and loving in the here and now.

Avoidance

Sticking one’s foot into one’s mouth is a pain.

Banging one’s head against the wall is a pain.

I’ll show you, I’ll hurt myself is a pain.

Selfish, self-centered, arrogant, grandiose

and egotistical is a pain.

The pleasure does not have to be sought,

it will arrive to fill the void

after the pain has gone away.

Today, be wise, be humble,

avoid the heartaches and be happy.

Happiness is avoiding the pain.

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.
