The Depths of Love

012

.

.

“Only in the

agony of parting

do we look into

the depths of love.”

.

– George Eliot

.

.

Do we so flippantly take love for granted ???

Do we assume that the ecstatic feelings will last forever ???

Do we fear what the prospect for the future may be ???

Choices;  ignore the obvious

or chose to accept reality.

Today, don’t be flippant, do not assume, have no fear,

don’t wait until the agony of departing happens,

celebrate your love, examine the depths of your love,

and give a voice to the reality of how valuable your love is.

Love is enjoying the depths of your feelings.

Love is helping someone love themselves.

Tangled Roots

005

.

“Growing apart doesn’t

change the fact that

for a long time

we grew side by side;

our roots will always

be tangled.

I’m glad for that.”

.

~ Ally Condie

.

Our roots are those experiences

that allow us to  become the people we are.

Neighborhood, church, school, summer camp,

sports, band, hobbies, family reunions or

whatever the experience may be, friends

have been there and when we move on in life

our roots remain entangled.

Friends are what make the experience

worth remembering.

Friendship is having tangled roots.

Friendship is a priceless gem

that is to be valued and protected.
