Are Your Hands Clean

.

“Who are you to judge

the life I live?

I know I’m not perfect –

and I don’t live to be –

but before you start

pointing fingers…

make sure you hands are clean”

~ Bob Marley

.

As a drunk I was always judging other people,

I wanted to make sure I was not as bad as they were.

A.A. has taught me not to compare myself with anyone else,

but to identify with their feelings.

Today, I listen to the war stories and how it used to be,

but more importantly I love to hear how they used the A.A.

program to now enjoy a life that is happy, joyous and free.

Life is not judging others.

Life is living and loving in the here and now.

There Is No Try

.

“Do.

Or do not.

There is no

try.”

.

~ Yoda, The Empire Strikes Back

.

Try is an guaranteed excuse to fail.

Be positive, if it is worthwhile doing, do it right.

Be kind, the beginning of good karma.

Be loving, the Uni-verse returns all in kind.

Be patient and tolerant, we do not all travel

the same path at the same speed.

Be forgiving, there is not one among us who is perfect.

Today, do not try, do.

Love is not a try.

Love is helping someone love themselves.
