“Guests,
like fish,
begin to smell
after three days.”
.
– Benjamin Franklin
.
We were friends when the visit began,
let us remain friends after we have departed,
therefore,
as friends we will not overstay our welcome.
Things and people change, older but not always wiser,
the hostess with the mostess will one day just not be up to
what was once the norm.
Be kind, be loving, don’t tax the retired,
enjoy the visit and leave on good terms.
Friendship is never stinking up the joint.
Friendship is a priceless gem that is to be valued and protected.
