Rarely Absent

“Happiness is

rarely absent;

it is we

that know not

of its presence.”

~ Maurice Maeterlinck

The ostrich believes

that by putting his head in a hole

if he cannot see you, you cannot see him.

Those who live with their head sunk in a hole,

just like the ostrich, will never see happiness,

even when happiness can see them.

Today, know that happiness is your attitude

and when you have a bright outlook

happiness can always be found.

Happiness is rarely absent.

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.
