“You’re never too old,
too wacky, too wild,
to pick up a book
and read to a child.”
.
~ Dr. Seuss

Happy adults were happy children who were read to,
who learned from caring adults that took the time
and made the effort to be kind.
Today, know that there are programs that are in need
of adults who are willing to take the time to read to children.
Do your part, be kind, volunteer at your local library or school.
Kindness is reading to a child.
Kindness is the beginning of a life filled with love.

Books have always played a big part in my life. It does concern me that the youth today seem to prefer a piece of technology in their hand in preference to a book. They don’t know what they are missing. So many adventures, so little time. 🙂

This is so very very true and you don’t have to be a trained teacher. My father had very little education having to go to work at 10 years old during the Depression. However, I still remember to this day how we would be on the floor as he read the newspaper funnies to me and we colored in coloring books with crayons together. I love do read and as you know I love cartoons, draw my own and color them brightly.

This is very true and I hope it never stops. Reading to a child bonds and is such a wonderful thing. I loved reading to my children and in school as well.
