The Downward Trend

I do not know if it is the cynic in me

or just old age realism, but,

having been raised in the middle

of the last century,

I perceive that the world has begun

the downward slippery slide towards destruction.

Everyone worships some things,

hopefully those things are peace of mind,

love of life and God.

Today, let us all pray and do our best to

reverse the downward trend.

Life is not to be taken for granted.

Life is living and loving in the here and now.
