I may or may not be proud of what I did,
but I did it.
To own that story is to acknowledge
all sides of the coin,
good, bad and/or indifferent.
The past is neither love or hate and
I need to let it in the past.
Today begins a new story.
Today, I will do my best to be a better person.
Today, I know that I will love myself
so long as I choose to do the next right thing,
that action that will make this world a better place
for me being here.
Happiness is owning our own story.
Happiness is helping someone help themselves.
