Disperse Darkness

boquet 010

.

The syllable gu

means shadows.

The syllable ru,

he who disperses them.

Because of the power

to disperse darkness,

the guru is thus named.”

.

~ Advayataraka Upanishad

.

God, who is light and love,

the physical and the emotional,

is the ultimate teacher and those

who are willing to do the will of God

are his disciples, his gurus,

the beacons of love

that make this world a better place for all.

Today, family, friend

or the stranger that God places on your path,

disperse the darkness

and let your love and light show them the way.

Life is being the guru, the beacon of light and love.

Life is living and loving in the here and now.

.

Ignorance is not bliss.

Learning dispels the darkness.

We learn by discovery and those who lead us

down a path that is full of light are those

that we should follow.

Today, whether you be the learner or the teacher,

chase the shadows with only the truth

and shine your light to expose

love and kindness.

Life is to live in the light.

Life is to live and love in the here and now.
