Disperse Darkness

boquet 010

.

The syllable gu

means shadows.

The syllable ru,

he who disperses them.

Because of the power

to disperse darkness,

the guru is thus named.”

.

~ Advayataraka Upanishad

.

God, who is light and love,

the physical and the emotional,

is the ultimate teacher and those

who are willing to do the will of God

are his disciples, his gurus,

the beacons of love

that make this world a better place for all.

Today, family, friend

or the stranger that God places on your path,

disperse the darkness

and let your love and light show them the way.

Life is being the guru, the beacon of light and love.

Life is living and loving in the here and now.

Sorry

.

“A real friend

isn’t capable

of feeling sorry

for you.”

.

~ Jodi Picoult

.

No regrets, no remorse,

sorry doesn’t cut it.

A real friend knows compassion, empathy

and how to make a silk purse from a sows ear.

Even in the worst of times a friend is the ray of hope,

the silver lining to your dark cloud,

the pot of gold at the end of your rainbow

the soul who knows sorry is a mistake

that can be atoned for.

Friendship is never having to be sorry.

Friendship is a priceless gem

that is to be valued and protected.
