Find Yourself

.

“The best way

to find yourself

is to lose yourself

in the service of others.

.

~ Mahatma Gandhi

.

.

The more you give the happier you will be.

However, give in moderation,

always remembering that charity begins at  home,

and to be the happy person your Higher Power

wants you to be, the happy person you wish to be,

keep the giving and the receiving in balance.

Today, take care of your business,

take time to relax, but always remember

to take time to do something for someone

in need, something that will make this world

a better place for all.

Happiness is to find yourself  by being of service to others.

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.

Two Way Street

.

.

It is unwise to be too sure

of one’s own wisdom.

It is healthy to be reminded

that the strongest might weaken

and the wisest might err.

.

~ Mahatma Gandhi

.

.

When young we travel up the street

gaining strength and wisdom as we go along.

Then,  time and gravity win out and we begin

our travel down the street where we eventually

are no longer the strongest or the wisest.

On the way up we gain our strength and wisdom

from those who are on their way down,

and on our way down the street

we pass along our secrets to the next generation

who are on their way up.

Today, regardless of which side of the street you are on,

do your best to make this world a better place for all.

Life is a two way street.

Life is living and loving in the here and now.
