More or Less, Somewhat

011

.

“Fragile is the heart that knows

all the winding paths we chose

bridges burned, a lesson learned

time and again, journeys turned

clear as mud, our eyes wide shut

wiser, more or less, somewhat. “

Thank God there is no right or wrong,

just choices.

and the consequences may or may not be

what we had hoped for.

We sometimes receive more, sometimes less,

but God always makes sure it is just the right amount.

Whether it be happiness or sorrow,

He will never give us more than we can handle.

Today, know that acceptance is somewhat apropos.

Life is to be wiser, more or less, somewhat.

Life is living and loving in the here and now.

Unlocked and Occupied

“There was a hidden space

in my heart

a home that was locked

and vacant —

then she, with a key,

moved in.”

It is only human nature to protect

our hearts from emotional harm,

to keep it locked away, guarded from those

mean unthinking souls who prey

on the innocent.

A house is not a home

until it is filled with love.

May God bless you with a loving

person who you will gladly share the key

to your heart.

Love is a heart that is unlocked and occupied.

Love is helping someone love themselves.
