Be Humble, Be Real

When it is my way or the highway,

my will, not God’s will, I become

the phoniest of the phonies,

the wannabe Hollywood actor

whose whole life is scripted.

When you think you are humble … you’re not.

Today, just be the real deal,

lead with the heart,

be the kind, loving, patient, tolerant,

forgiving and compassionate soul

that your Higher Power wants you to be.

Happiness is being the real humble deal.

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.
