“When we long for life without difficulties,
remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds
and diamonds are made under pressure.“ ~ Peter Marshall
…and love grows stronger when difficulties
are faced together.
The love that falters has it difficulties in the selfish
and self-centered, needy, whiney, I, I, I, Me, Me, Me.
Together, two souls doing the will of the Great Creator,
trying to make this world a better place for all,
can grow stronger when they face life
on God’s terms.
Love is not without its difficulties.
Love is helping someone love themselves.

I love this perspective. Love isn’t about avoiding difficulties; it’s about choosing to face them together, with grace, patience, and faith. And I especially love your thought that love is helping someone love themselves. Beautifully said.
